Lamont is a veteran exploration geologist with over 30 years of experience in precious metals, base metals, lithium, and iron ore exploration. He was a co-founder and Chief Geologist of Piedmont Lithium, which merged with Sayona Mining to form Elevra Lithium, where his early recognition of the Carolina Tin-Spodumene Belt’s potential helped build what became a billion-dollar lithium company. Prior to Piedmont, Lamont served as a consulting geologist and project geologist at BHP Minerals and Noranda. He holds a BSc in Geology from Appalachian State University. His proven ability to identify and develop world-class mineral deposits makes him a powerful strategic resource for Ekometall.
