Polymetamorphic, albite rich volcanosedimenatry host rocks. Composed of genetically diverse, tectonized, and regionally metamorphosed ore deposits. Chalcopyrite dominates with bornite, tennantite, and gold traces.
Gold mining began in Trattenbach around 1580. Focused shifted to copper in 1760 through the early 1920s.
