Geology Summary

Two geological domains. The Bündnerschiefer contains stratiform pyrite-chalcopyrite VMS deposits associated with prasinites. The Kreuzeck Group is associatedwith volcanosedimentary sequences containing stratiform sulphide enrichments with variable base and precious metal contents — particularly high gold and silver concentrations where tectonic structures intersect the sulphide ores. Host rocks include amphibolites, quartzites, and garnet-rich mica schists.

Historical Production

Primary mining in the Bündnerschiefer occurred at the Grossfragant mine, targeting copper-rich ore from the 17th to early 20th century. The Kreuzeck Group’s gold-silver enrichment zones represent a distinct, untested exploration target.
